High-rise apartments buildings are different
Why do you need an electrician with high-rise experience when you’ve got a problem in your luxury apartment?
- High-rises are fed by multiple city power sources, not just one.
- High-rise buildings have multiple transformers. Often these are located both under the building and on service levels higher in the building.
- Most high-rise buildings are wired both with low- and medium-voltage cables. That’s in contrast to single-family homes, which tend to use low-voltage wiring.
- Most high-rise buildings use three-phase current, rather than the one-phase current that’s common in single family homes.
